Requirements

Managing our Fellows network - What we are looking for

We’re looking for a Relationships Senior Associate to join our team on location in London. You will be responsible for engaging with valuable connections in our network and executing our Fellows strategy.

Our Fellows network is a crucial part of our model. Every mission-driven Venture Builder (which supports 60-70 fulltime Founders in stipend, investment and a platform of services) includes 100 Visiting expert Fellows who work with the Founders and later on with the new ventures Founders build. Fellows help Founders with pro bono advice, workshops, introductions, mentoring and hands-on support.

These global experts and leaders are experienced members of the network who are driven by the specific mission and the opportunity to work with a group of ambitious, committed and talented entrepreneurs.

Visiting Fellows come from a wide range of backgrounds including domain expertise, tech and engineering, business and marketing, investment, research, public sector, NGOs and more. Previous Visiting Fellows include Mustafa Suleyman (the Cofounder of Google DeepMind), Dr. Peter Fonagy (the CEO of the Anna Freud Centre), Alyssa Gilbert (Centre for Climate Change Innovation, Grantham Institute, Imperial College London), Professor Jeremy Myerson (Chair of Design at the Helen Hamlyn Institute) and Check Warner (Partner at Ada Ventures).

You will be the focal point of contact to our Visiting Fellows and the first person they meet when they are invited to join Zinc. We source Fellows globally, some are recommended to us and some approach Zinc directly and you will have the initial conversations and work with the Zinc team to vet and decide if they will become a Fellow.

Your success in this role will mean an active, engaged, and impactful network of experienced and passionate Visiting Fellows who are supporting Zinc’s mission-driven entrepreneurs, the ventures they build and our portfolio.

Your main objectives are:

  • To build an engaged and committed network of Fellows, and develop a great relationship with the individual Fellows to understand their expertise, motivations, impact and availability during the mission
  • To design, deliver and measure an outstanding and valuable experience for the Fellows at Zinc
  • To design, facilitate and measure the impact and contribution Fellows provide to Founders and their ventures

Who are you?

You enjoy creating impactful experiences, making new connections and working in a fast-paced environment. You are comfortable learning and working with digital platforms such as Hubspot, Airtable, etc (don’t worry if you haven’t used these already!).

You are super-organised and a proactive problem solver, great at managing your time and workload to ensure everything gets done and skilled at balancing multiple priorities.

You’re also the kind of person who goes the extra mile – you’re genuinely helpful, committed and focused on outcomes.

You are keen to use your motivation, experience and passion for working with people to tackle social challenges that you deeply care about.

We’re ideally looking for people with experience in hospitality and/or relationship/client management. If you don’t have this experience but think you are right for this role, please do apply!
