This role focuses on identifying and investing in healthcare and medical device startups leveraging research outcomes from Tohoku University, with growing international focus as the fund receives increasing overseas inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Project discovery, due diligence, and deal execution in healthcare and medical device sectors
- Collaborate with Tohoku University researchers to commercialize research outcomes from seed stage
- Hands-on mentorship of portfolio companies post-investment
- Industry analysis and research in medical devices and healthcare technology
- Support portfolio companies' international expansion
Requirements
- Medical device sector expertise with substantial domain knowledge
- Experience in technology development, business development, or project management in the medical device industry
Preferred qualifications
- Strategy consulting, M&A advisory, or medical trading company experience
- Management or team leadership experience
- Business English capability for international portfolio support
