Evaluate new investments in Japan (and selectively in the US) through financial, technical, market, and operational due diligence. Present as needed to the investment committee
Prepare deal memos and quarterly reports
Support fundraising and fund administration tasks such as documentation, contract management, and LP communication/requirements
Develop market research, competitive analysis, and technology roadmaps
Build relationships within the startup community and source potential investment opportunities
Document meetings and updates of companies under review
Attend industry events/conferences
Develop investment theses for new opportunities
Assist in supporting portfolio companies in various activities, including business/sales development, fundraising, market research, etc.
Requirements
At least 3+ years of experience working in or with technology companies, startups, investment banking, corporate development, management consulting, venture capital, or private equity
Experience with fundraising and related documentation/requirements
Pre and post-MBA candidates will be considered
Strong interpersonal and quantitative skills
Demonstrated close attention to detail
Strong writing skills
Preference to working in a team environment and ability to self-start
PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize with strong organizational skills

Demonstrated interest in startup/tech community/entrepreneurship/venture capital
Native in Japanese and proficient in English
