The Role
Lead strategic equity investments across the payments and fintech sectors. The role focuses on sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investment lifecycle phases from thesis development through closing
- Develop investment theses in emerging sectors including agentic commerce, cross-border payments, or B2B payments
- Manage portfolio companies and facilitate value creation with internal Visa teams
- Build relationships with VCs and intermediaries for deal flow
- Prepare investment materials and present to senior executives
- Mentor junior team members and improve investment processes
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years professional experience
- 4+ years in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, or Growth Equity with full deal lifecycle experience
- Direct startup operating experience
- Complex due diligence leadership capability
- Deal negotiation experience
- Deep fintech and payments knowledge
- Venture-specific financial analysis skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Warm network within Tier-1 VC ecosystem
Logistics
Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office). Base salary $169,100 – $270,800 plus potential bonus and equity.
