Role description
As Deal Lead, you'll source and execute growth-stage private company investments across the technology and AI ecosystem, owning the full investment lifecycle from origination through close.
Responsibilities
- Identify growth-stage private company investment opportunities through founder networks and secondary markets
- Conduct comprehensive financial and operational due diligence
- Manage the complete investment lifecycle from evaluation through transaction closure
- Develop AI-powered systems to improve deal sourcing, diligence, and portfolio monitoring
- Partner with legal, compliance, finance, and product teams
Requirements
- Venture capital, growth equity, or private equity experience investing in pre-IPO technology companies
- At least 3-5 years of experience in growth-stage investing
- A strong network within the technology and AI ecosystems
- Demonstrated investment judgment and diligence capability
- Fund operations experience and familiarity with established standards
- An ownership mentality and the ability to implement AI-driven workflow improvements
- A commitment to developing junior talent
Compensation
Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $221,000-$260,000 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. This role requires being in-person at least 3 days per week in Menlo Park, CA.
