The Frontier Fund(s) back companies in AI, advanced materials, automation, robotics, and space. ## Role description The VC Associate supports the Toyota Ventures Frontier Fund(s) in sourcing and screening innovative companies. ## Responsibilities - Participate in industry and VC networking events - Generate deal flow and identify high-potential target companies - Evaluate companies and provide investment recommendations - Conduct due diligence and competitive analyses - Prepare investment memos and present to the Investment Committee - Support deal negotiations and closings - Analyse industry trends and author market research briefings - Collaborate with portfolio company support teams ## Requirements - Minimum 4 years of related work experience - Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field - High integrity and professionalism with a commitment to confidentiality - An entrepreneurial mindset with strong networking capabilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong financial modeling and Excel/Google Suite proficiency - Comfort navigating ambiguity and risk - A passion for emerging technologies and their business applications Based in Los Altos Hills, CA, with remote work possible in other U.S. cities. Compensation: $120,000-$155,000/year for California-based roles.
