IIMA Ventures

IIMA Ventures is an innovation and entrepreneurship organisation built at IIM Ahmedabad, combining incubation, acceleration, early-stage investment, fund incubation and research within a single platform. Its stated focus is the early stage of company formation - the period in which it considers startups to need the most support - and it targets founders working on disruptive and deep-tech solutions.

The organisation's activity is organised across five strands. Incubation provides startups with physical infrastructure, training and collaborators. Acceleration programmes offer workshops, diagnostics, coaching and practical support, configured around each startup's goals and stage. Early-stage investment backs ventures directly. Fund incubation supports the creation of funds serving the Indian early-stage market, extending the platform's reach beyond its own portfolio. A fifth strand produces research, cases, courses and other learning resources, distributed to entrepreneurs and to the people who support them.

Technical and industry focus spans deep tech, climate technology, digitalisation and inclusive innovation, the last of which is advanced through dedicated programmes. The organisation states that it backs "fearless" entrepreneurs building disruptive solutions. IIMA Ventures has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence by India's Department of Science and Technology. Its operations are based in Ahmedabad, India, at the IIM Ahmedabad campus.
