The role
The Venture Capital Senior Analyst plays a key role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, executing on investment theses, and supporting portfolio companies - working at the intersection of the traditional healthcare payer and the innovative health start-up space.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline & opportunity evaluation: build long-term relationships with entrepreneurs; maintain a network of service providers, investors, and ecosystem players
- Deal execution: map opportunities to Healthworx strategy, run investment return models, support diligence and investment memo drafts
- Portfolio support: support portfolio companies on fundraising, advisory, and pilots; act as ambassador across CareFirst
- Fund support & payer networks: connect funds with CareFirst experts and other Blues; support thought leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years in venture capital, management consulting, investment banking, product management, or business development at a technology company
- Preferred: healthcare/healthtech experience and a strong network in healthcare innovation and VC; knowledge of venture deal structures and valuation models
Salary range $68,688-$136,422. Hybrid, Washington, DC. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
