The Role
DRW Venture Capital seeks an Analyst or Associate to support private company investing across fintech and capital markets. The role encompasses sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, performing financial analysis, structuring deals, supporting portfolio companies, monitoring investments, and conducting industry research.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing inbound and outbound deal pipelines and sourcing new investment opportunities
- Preparing investment presentations, investment memos, and pitch decks
- Performing DCF and comparable company valuations
- Assisting with term sheet evaluation and deal structuring
- Supporting portfolio company management teams on strategy and M&A evaluation
- Monitoring investments through regular valuations and performance tracking
- Conducting industry research
Required Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, or private equity
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Proficiency in Excel and valuation modeling
- Demonstrated passion for investing and curiosity about business models
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
- Interest in fintech
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy background
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range is $130,000 to $160,000 depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set, plus discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage; 401(k); disability and life insurance; and HSA/FSA options.
