Solve Hard Climate Problems
We are a climate tech venture studio and investor based in Europe, on a mission to eliminate at least one gigaton of CO2eq from annual emissions.
We partner with scientists, engineers and operators to build deeptech startups that slash emissions, remove carbon, and cool the planet. As Founders-in-Residence, they work with us to uncover high-impact opportunities and shape the most promising idea into a new company. We invest in the best teams at pre-seed.
The climate crisis is the most pressing challenge of our times. Breakthrough technologies will be crucial to reach net zero, as available solutions only get us halfway. However, we cannot place all our hopes in classic tech transfer. The urgency requires an intentional approach to create and deploy radical solutions for hard-to-abate emissions.
We are looking for an intern to help us find amazing talent and turn them into deeptech teams pursuing high-impact climate opportunities. Covering operations, community building and talent sourcing, this role is ideal for a people person who thrives in science and startup settings, with an interest in deeptech and a driving motivation to mitigate climate change.
Reporting to our Talent Associate, you will look for brillant individuals, handle day-to-day operations, and contribute to building a community through events (physical and online). Your work will eventually help us in building and investing in ambitious climate companies!
You will have the opportunity to work directly with brilliant Founders on a mission turn the tide on the climate crisis. You will get exposure to all programme activities and to the worlds of deeptech startups, venture capital, and climate solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to get in at the ground floor as we aim to create a new home for early-stage climate deeptech in Europe.
Location: HQ in Paris. Flexible hybrid remote but geographical proximity is preferred.
Language: English and French fluency are required. Another language is a plus.
Availability: 6-month internship starting March 2023.
The main objectives of this role are to recruit the best Founders-in-Residence (scientists, engineers, researchers, domain specialists) and help them along the way. Your day-to-day will vary but mostly fall into four main pillars:
Progress and plans for future work will be summarised in reports to our Talent Associate.
The role may occasionally involve travel to attend conferences and other events.
While this role has many dimensions, you will spend most of your time interacting with deeply technical, mission-driven individuals working in climate tech.
