About the role
ID Ventures is seeking a team member to join their seven-person investment operation.
Responsibilities
- Review pitch decks and conduct founder screening calls.
- Perform diligence via market sizing, competitive analysis, customer conversations, and financial reviews.
- Draft investment committee memos.
- Support portfolio companies with fundraising prep and investor introductions.
- Attend startup events across Michigan.
- Improve internal workflows and reporting systems.
About you
The role emphasizes AI tool proficiency (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others) for accelerating research, automating processes, and stress-testing investment theses. Candidates should demonstrate strong writing ability, numerical comfort, business curiosity, and a commitment to equitable capital access. Prior VC experience is unnecessary — analytical skills and self-directed project leadership matter more.
Location and compensation
Detroit / Ann Arbor preferred; Michigan required. Full-time. $95,000–$115,000 base, plus benefits and annual performance bonuses.
