Chief Financial Officer

Foundersmax is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, capital allocation, and fund operations across the venture studio and its portfolio companies. You will be responsible for building robust financial foundations, structuring studio-portfolio equity models, and guiding portfolio founders through fundraising, unit economics optimization, and financial reporting.This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a financial strategist who can move from zero-to-one while establishing financial systems that scale across multiple ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead financial strategy, capital allocation, and budgeting across the studio and portfolio companies
• Architect studio and portfolio cap tables, equity structures, and venture fund models
• Partner with founders to build financial models, optimize unit economics, and prepare for fundraising rounds
• Establish financial reporting standards, accounting operations, and compliance frameworks
• Oversee treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and studio liquidity
• Guide investor relations, fund management, and LP communications alongside leadership
• Evaluate financial risk, tax structures, and regulatory considerations across all ventures
• Support M&A, secondary sales, and exit strategies for portfolio companies

What We’re Looking For

• Financial Leadership: 10+ years in finance, with experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or senior financial leader
• Builder Experience: Proven track record of building and managing financial operations from early stage to growth
• Startup Expertise: Experience in venture capital, venture studios, or high-growth startup environments
• Financial Modeling: Deep expertise in cap table management, startup valuation, and venture financing dynamics
• Hands-On Ability: Comfortable executing financial modeling, tax setup, and reporting directly when needed
• Team Building: Experience building and leading finance, accounting, and compliance teams
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to align financial management with venture creation goals and investor expectations
