Fund Operations & Finance Manager

Leonis Capital is looking for a Fund Operations & Finance Manager to help manage the day-to-day operational, financial, and compliance infrastructure of the firm and its funds.

This person will work closely with the Managing Partner and serve as the primary internal coordinator across fund administration, legal, tax, audit, compliance, banking, and other service providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across Leonis funds, SPVs, and management entities
• Coordinate with fund administrators, legal counsel, auditors, tax advisors, compliance consultants, banks, and other external providers
• Manage LP onboarding, subscription documents, closings, capital calls, distributions, and investor records
• Maintain Carta and other fund administration systems and ensure records remain accurate and up to date
• Track compliance, regulatory, tax, audit, insurance, and reporting deadlines
• Support quarterly and annual fund reporting, valuations, audits, and tax processes
• Maintain fund documents, entity records, internal trackers, and operating calendars
• Coordinate portfolio company financial and valuation data collection
• Identify operational issues, follow up with relevant parties, and drive tasks through completion
• Improve internal processes and systems as Leonis launches and manages additional funds
• Provide the Managing Partner with clear summaries of outstanding issues, decisions required, and upcoming deadlines

Ideal Background

• 3–6 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, fund administration, fund accounting, finance, or fund operations
• Familiarity with venture fund structures, LP operations, capital calls, distributions, audits, tax, and compliance processes
• Experience working with fund administrators, legal counsel, auditors, and other professional service providers
• Strong project-management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple parallel workstreams
• High ownership mentality and ability to independently follow issues through resolution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience at a venture fund, private equity firm, fund administrator, Big Four accounting firm, or outsourced CFO/fund operations provider is particularly relevant.

Role Profile

The Fund Operations & Finance Manager will be the internal operating layer that ensures Leonis's funds run smoothly and that administrative, financial, and compliance matters do not unnecessarily consume partner time.
