Fund Operations Analyst
mHUB Ventures is seeking a Fund Operations Analyst to own the day-to-day administration and operations of our venture funds. Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, this person will serve as the connective link across fund operations, investor relations, and portfolio management, making sure mHUB Ventures runs smoothly and scales effectively.
This role is built for an early-career professional who wants to learn how a venture fund actually works, from the inside. Most of the job is hands-on fund administration: capital calls, LP reporting, audits, compliance, and keeping our data clean. That work is the foundation of the role, and it is the fastest way to learn the business. You will work directly with the Managing Partners, see how investment decisions get made, and take on more investing and investor responsibilities as you grow.
We are looking for someone who is hungry, detail-oriented, and takes pride in getting the small things right. No task is too small, and you see every one as a chance to learn.
Description of Responsibilities
Fund Operations & Reporting
- Manage the core administration of the fund, including reporting, audits, and coordination with fund administrators, auditors, legal, and tax partners.
- Prepare drafts of quarterly and annual LP reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
- Own the CRM, portfolio tracking, and internal dashboards, keeping fund data current and reliable.
- Coordinate capital calls, distributions, compliance reviews, and fund governance activities.
- Build and improve internal workflows, checklists, and processes to increase efficiency and transparency.
Portfolio & Platform Management
- Collaborate with the investment team to monitor portfolio company performance and capture relevant updates.
- Help coordinate portfolio engagement activities, events, and introductions that create meaningful value for founders.
- Support the collection of portfolio metrics and impact data for reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the development of tools and resources that strengthen mHUB’s venture platform.
Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Assist with fundraising activities, including preparation of materials, data rooms, and diligence responses.
- Draft and distribute regular investor communications that reflect the performance, vision, and impact of the fund.
- Join investor meetings and ecosystem conversations alongside the Managing Partners.
Investing Support
- Help screen inbound deal flow and track sourcing activity.
- Support the team with research and diligence on potential investments.
- Coordinate with outside diligence partners and experts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, STEM, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of professional experience, including internships, in finance, accounting, fund operations, consulting, or startups. Interest in engineering-driven or hardtech companies is a strong plus.
- Eagerness to learn venture fund mechanics, including LP communications, modelling, reporting, and portfolio management.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong Excel and written communication skills.
- Genuinely enjoys operational work and takes ownership of deadlines and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with founders, investors, and partners.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-moving, small-team environment.
- Authorized to work in the United States and willing to travel as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $70,000–$85,000, based on experience. Compensation may also include performance incentives and potential carried interest participation. mHUB offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and generous PTO.
