The Ventures Fellow role supports First Rate's venture strategy over a 9–12 month fellowship, focusing on generating revenue-accretive growth through strategic investments.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence on corporate venture capital and acquisition opportunities
- Analyze financial models, pro-forma statements, and market fit
- Support venture marketing and lead generation
- Evaluate investment opportunities against company capabilities
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends
- Attend industry events and pitch meetings
Tactical Responsibilities
- Manage deal pipeline data in CRM systems
- Perform financial planning and analysis
- Lead company research initiatives
- Monitor portfolio performance
- Support post-acquisition integration planning
- Maintain stakeholder communication
Requirements
- Proficiency with AI analysis tools
- Financial analysis experience (income statements, balance sheets, cap tables)
- Knowledge of financial planning, pro-forma development, and projections
- MBA enrollment preferred
Duration: 9–12 month fellowship. Part-time internship. Located in Arlington, TX.
