VII Ventures is a venture capital group investing in entrepreneurs that are accelerating a shift towards a more sustainable and circular economy. Our passion is finding those winning companies that focus on solving complex problems. This can be anything from leveraging technology in India’s grocery market through to the production of melanin to produce new energy sources. We help these start-ups by developing long-term strategies that support ambitious growth and create lasting value. Our global portfolio includes companies in the U.S, India, Canada and Europe. The firm has three General Partners and to date has invested in more than 14 leading start-ups. Our Model Invest in winners: Through our seasoned leadership team and robust due diligence, we identify and invest in those companies that have potential to become winners in their segments. Help them scale: We help these companies refine and productize their offering to expand into new markets. We advise Boards and CEOs on making key strategic decisions, defining growth strategies, and attracting other global investors. Successful exit: Every start-up is different, and an exit strategy will always depend highly on the situation. We will work with the company to identify the best exit event including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offering (IPO), and private offering (Secondary exits).

We launched in December 2020 with 46 companies, the largest cohort of climate tech companies in the world. By uniting and aligning committed investors, large corporates, and market and policy experts with the world’s most promising climate tech startups, D3 bridges finance and resource gaps to increase speed to market. Our flexible and highly curated accelerator program enables startups to focus on their unique needs and opportunities. Over a decade supporting climate innovation Evergreen Climate Innovations, formerly Clean Energy Trust, supports entrepreneurs and startups that are bringing impactful climate technologies to market. Structured as a nonprofit, we pioneered our 501vc® Investment Fund to align philanthropic and corporate contributions to deliver environmental, economic, and social impact. Upon investing, we work actively with our portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and help in achieving critical milestones and connections to funding, demonstration opportunities, and customers. Evergreen is committed to advancing climate innovation and expanding access to such innovation across the Greater Midwest. Critical early-stage climate solutions are underfunded Climate change is humanity’s greatest challenge but represents a small fraction of total venture investment and philanthropic support. Evergreen Climate Innovations addresses the capital gap that exists for early-stage climate tech companies. The Midwest is particularly underserved with only 3% of early-stage climate tech investment going to the Midwest. Our Impact Thesis We invest in startups developing innovative solutions with the potential to make outsized impacts on the climate emergency and related environmental and sustainability challenges. Moreover, these companies create jobs and drive economic development. Our 501vc® Investment Fund: a unique approach Evergreen’s 501vc® model is a seed stage investment fund capitalized with philanthropic dollars. Our fund’s revolving evergreen structure enables us to recycle our investment returns to generate compounding impact. Bringing Climate Technologies to Market Our unique model allows us to be more patient and absorb more risk than a traditional investor, helping to bridge the early-stage commercialization gap. We are hands-on investors. We work closely with our portfolio companies to identify and execute a clear, well-funded path to market. Beyond the money we invest, we provide invaluable resources and opportunities that arise from our extensive network throughout the climate tech innovation ecosystem that we have spent over a decade cultivating.

Green Angel Syndicate (GAS) is one of the largest angel syndicates in the UK, and the only one specialising in the fight against climate change. We identify, invest in, and help the growth of companies which have specialist technologies or processes that limit or reduce the world's carbon emissions. GAS has a rapidly growing membership of more than 300 people, and 30 portfolio companies. GAS is operated by a team of 19 people, and this is an exciting time for us. We have been increasing the number and size of investments into companies fighting climate change, which has driven our growth and expansion, allowing us to make a bigger impact, faster.
