Overview Volta Circle is an investment platform, focused on early-stage technology-driven solutions that reshape linear economic systems into circular ones. Opportunity Volta Circle is seeking an entrepreneurial and self-directed early-career investment professional to join as a Financial Analyst. The analyst will report directly to the Managing Partner, Catia Cesari, and will lead all internal finance operations, supporting investment activities and portfolio management. The individual will have the opportunity to work on investments through Volta Circle, as well as through the larger Lohia single-family office, gaining access to a broad range of investment strategies and sectors. This is a wide-ranging role that will expose you to the whole investment cycle, from sourcing to portfolio management. As a lean and globally distributed team, the ability to communicate and collaborate across functions and geographies, share knowledge, and contribute to Volta Circle’s broader goals are essential. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead financial analysis of companies in the pipeline, including rebuilding of P&L forecasts, valuation determination, and returns analysis; Support due diligence processes and overall deal structuring; Lead portfolio reporting including tracking company performance and preparing summaries; Prepare high quality, internal presentations and related materials for Investment Committee meetings; Support with startup sourcing, market research and in depth competitive landscapes; Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership and thesis development. Experience and Capabilities 2–4 years work experience in investment banking, PE, consulting, VC or other similar experience; Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills; Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills; High attention to detail, flexible, collaborative, and willing to be involved in all aspects of the business; Strong academic achievement with an undergraduate degree from a top institution; Fluency in English required; Strong interest in the circular economy, sustainability, and impact investing is a plus. Location This job requires the right to work in London, UK. This is a hybrid role, predominantly remote with the expectation to attend a London office space 2 times a week. Our investment approach We invest in applied technologies that address high-impact global niche markets and will bring about social, environmental or economic change. Every potential investment must have a pathway to being a sustainable business and contributing impact to the UN Sustainable Development Goals either through the technology or through their business model. We look for technologies that provide a market advantage that is hard to replicate. They will have emerged either from researchers who have had long well-funded R&D cycles or innovators who have deep domain specialisation in an industry and so know their market problem exceptionally well. We are sector agnostic driven by the thematics that arise from the core capabilities of our partner universities and the innovations we uncover. The accelerators Strong market-fit and early industry engagement are imperative. We seek to accelerate the path to market dramatically by sourcing early adopters to validate the market need and aim to achieve market traction within 12-24 months. Our ability to find these early adopters is a key part of Significant’s initial due diligence.
