WatchTower & Friends is a private accelerator based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that invests in and mentors early-stage startups. Its principal vehicle is a 12-week accelerator programme designed to take founders from early ideas to validated businesses: the curriculum covers founder leadership, business models, minimum viable product development, early customer acquisition, fundraising fundamentals and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations, supported by dedicated mentoring. Each participating early-stage startup receives an investment of RM100,000.
The accelerator has run eight cohorts and invested in more than 50 startups. Companies emerging from the programme have created more than 2,000 jobs, and alumni have a combined estimated market capitalisation exceeding RM500 million. The firm's stated focus is on strengthening Malaysia's startup ecosystem and helping local founders build businesses with lasting impact.
Beyond its core programme, WatchTower & Friends works with corporations and government agencies, offering tailored bootcamps and accelerator programmes alongside corporate innovation solutions. Its activity spans startup acceleration, early-stage investing, entrepreneurship training and ecosystem development across Malaysia.
