TheFactory

TheFactory is a Nordic accelerator and early-stage investor founded in 2015 and based in Oslo, Norway. The firm works with founders across the region, combining structured accelerator programmes with early-stage capital and hands-on company-building support. Its stated approach pairs mentorship and workshops with market-validation guidance and introductions to investors, corporate partners and industry experts, taking startups from concept development towards investment and market readiness.

On the programme side, TheFactory runs both general and sector-focused accelerators, including GründerAcademy, the Sportstech Academy and the DefSec Accelerator for defence and security startups. More than 500 startups have completed its programmes, with the firm citing over 600 startups accelerated overall. Investment activity spans fintech, proptech, sportstech, greentech, retail, impact and defence and security, among other technology fields. The portfolio comprises more than 80 startups and scaleups, built through over 90 investments and six exits to date.

The firm emphasises long-term partnerships with founders alongside its structured support. Its accelerator work has been recognised as Best Accelerator in the Nordics by the Global Startup Awards. TheFactory does not publicly disclose fund size or team headcount.
