This Winter Research Analyst role is designed for ambitious students or recent grads who want hands-on exposure to the inner workings of early-stage VC. MBA candidates and postgrads may apply as Winter Associates. Option to extend into a summer role.

You’re enthusiastic and a little obsessive. Following your curiosity has taken you down weird (productive) rabbit holes.
You genuinely like building relationships from scratch: the cold emails, the persistent follow-ups, the coffee chats, the events. Execution doesn’t scare you — it energizes you.
You don’t need to be “managed.” You learn by watching, doing, and asking well-calibrated questions, and you enjoy taking the wheel instead of just being a passenger.
You obsess over markets and customers, but you can also hang when the conversation goes deep into technical choices.
You’ll work closely with Sheena Jindal, the founder and General Partner of Sugar Free Capital. She previously led investments at Comcast Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners, where she built a strong track record backing technical founders in deep tech, infrastructure, and fintech.
This role offers a front-row seat to what it takes to build a high-performing, high-velocity venture firm from the ground up — with real exposure to company sourcing, deep diligence, LP management, and everything in between.

Venture Capital Core Work
Deal Sourcing
Identify high-potential early-stage companies and technical founders
Research emerging trends across AI, infra, fintech, and deep tech
Maintain the deal flow pipeline and present top prospects to the GP
Diligence & Investment Process
Join founder calls and support due diligence, memo writing, and market research
Help analyze founder-market fit and competitive positioning
Learn the ins and outs of term sheets, SPVs, and SAFE notes
Fundraising & LP Engagement
Support LP communications, deck creation, and capital raise materials
Assist in writing quarterly investor updates and preparing for LP events
Get an inside look at how a fund is managed and scaled
Content & Brand
Help craft internal theses and founder-facing content
Contribute to research briefs and newsletters
Support brand storytelling via events and outbound
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for intellectually curious, proactive thinkers who have a bias toward action and a high taste level. Ideal candidates have:
A background in CS, finance, economics, or startup operations
Clear interest in venture capital and emerging technologies
Strong writing, research, and execution skills
The ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
