About the Role
Standard Capital is looking for a Content Producer to help build and operate our video content engine across the Dalton + Michael and Standard Capital YouTube channels. The role involves managing full video production workflows, content calendars, weekly shoots in Palo Alto, and contractor coordination while maintaining high quality without corporate polish. You will report to Dalton Caldwell.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning content calendars across both channels
- Coordinating weekly in-person studio shoots in Palo Alto
- Managing editors, designers, and production contractors
- Translating creative direction into clear briefs and deliverables
- Tracking videos through all production stages
- Reviewing edits and providing structured feedback
- Monitoring content performance and engagement metrics
- Developing systems for converting long-form content into clips and social assets
Required Qualifications
- Experience producing YouTube videos, podcasts, or interview shows
- Strong organizational skills managing multiple contractors
- Direct experience working with founders/principals
- Deep understanding of YouTube formats (titles, thumbnails, Shorts strategy)
- Strong editorial judgment for tone and pacing
- Familiarity with Dalton + Michael and its direct, honest approach
- Interest in startups, founders, AI, and venture capital
- Availability for weekly Palo Alto shoots
- Detail-oriented, reliable, low-ego approach

- YouTube channel production with consistent publishing
- Startup/tech/investing content background
- Freelance team management
- YouTube Studio analytics knowledge
- Proficiency with Riverside, Descript, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, Frame.io, or Figma
