Sky9 Capital seeks a Venture Capital Associate for its San Francisco office to work with Partners on identifying and executing early-to-growth stage investments. The role emphasizes bridging engineering innovations with venture-scale business models.
Key Responsibilities
- Source investment opportunities and develop independent theses in emerging sectors like generative AI, robotics, and vertical SaaS
- Conduct commercial and technical due diligence, including market analysis and product viability assessment
- Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Support portfolio founders with growth strategies leveraging the firm's global network
- Build networks at demo days, hackathons, and industry conferences
Requirements
- 1–3 years in Product Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Management Consulting (technology focus preferred)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
- Strong academic record from a top-tier university
- Well-networked in the SF Bay Area startup community
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
