We are looking for a dynamic Venture Capital Associate who will focus on on early-stage investment opportunities in the tech sector across the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan regions.
Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed market research to spot emerging trends and find promising early-stage startups for investment.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, covering financial forecasts, market evaluations, and competition analysis.
- Help prepare and present investment proposals and briefings to the investment committee.
- Engage in the negotiation and structuring of deals.
- Provide post-investment support and strategic guidance to portfolio companies.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and industry experts.
- Contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the venture capital fund.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or a related field; CFA is a plus
- 3-4+ years of relevant local work experience within Venture Capital (early-stage) in the Middle East / Africa / Pakistan
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial analysis and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen.
