About the role

Based in Osaka, this role supports innovation creation for major and mid-sized companies across the Kansai region, and the growth of startups. You will plan and execute innovation initiatives based on the needs of Kansai enterprises, and also run projects bringing overseas startups into Japan and supporting domestic startups expanding abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Innovation strategy formulation and execution support for major and mid-sized Kansai enterprises
  • Execution and oversight of government and municipal programs
  • Hands-on growth support for selected startups (including overseas expansion)
  • Industry trend and emerging-technology research, insight extraction, and dissemination
  • Planning and operation of demo days, events, and workshops
  • Community activities that develop the ecosystem
  • Other ad-hoc projects (self-proposals welcome)

Required qualifications

  • Advanced business-level Japanese and English
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred qualifications

  • 2+ years of account management, or customer success / support experience
  • Strong interest in startups
  • Project management experience
  • International experience

Work details

  • Location: Osaka (Chuo-ku, Fushimimachi)
  • Hours: 8:30–17:30 (1-hour break)
  • Hybrid: remote available, 3 days/week in office
  • Indefinite-term contract; Base + Bonus, twice-yearly raises
