Role Overview
Chief of Staff — Remote | Full-Time. This is the second full-time hire at Paperboy Ventures, with equity participation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
- Serve as the CEO's strategic right hand across all business functions
- Challenge decisions and identify organizational blind spots
- Own high-priority projects from problem definition through completion
- Establish company priorities and maintain operational cadence
Investment Operations
- Evaluate deals and contribute analytical perspective to investment decisions
- Source opportunities and engage founders directly
- Build the investor and LP network
- Research CPG categories and polish investment materials
Growth & Community
- Expand audience across media and event properties
- Develop campaigns targeting LPs, founders, and operators
- Make strategic introductions across the network
- Support events like the Paperboy Invitational and Summit
Systems Development
- Manage CRM, deal tracking, and investor relations infrastructure
- Implement AI tools and automation strategically
- Build repeatable processes and playbooks
- Continuously evaluate and upgrade the technology stack
Requirements
- 3+ years professional experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, startup operations, consulting, or founder-adjacent roles
- Demonstrated ability to build something from nothing
- Expert in project management across multiple workstreams
- Strong writing and communication capabilities
- Comfortable with data analysis and financial modeling
- Daily AI tool usage with strategic automation perspective

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity stake in Paperboy Ventures, structured around candidate experience and priorities.
