Role Description
The Co-Builder / EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore. In this role, you will work closely with the investment team to identify emerging consumer tech opportunities, validate problem statements, and co-create new venture concepts aligned with the fund’s thesis and eventually run these too. You will lead market research, conduct customer discovery, and build early prototypes or MVPs with support from Multiply Ventures’ network and resources. The role involves developing business models, defining go-to-market strategies, and preparing investment cases and pitch materials for internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with founders, advisors, and industry experts, while potentially transitioning into a founding leadership position in one of the ventures you co-build.
Qualifications
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with experience in founding, co-founding, or leading early-stage startups, preferably in consumer tech or digital products.
- Demonstrated ability in market research, customer discovery, and validation of product–market fit in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Skills in business modeling, financial analysis, and creating data-driven investment or growth theses.
- Experience in product strategy, MVP development, and working with cross-functional teams (product, tech, design, and marketing).
- Ability to craft clear narratives and pitch decks, and to communicate complex ideas effectively to investors, partners, and team members.
- Comfort with ambiguity and experimentation, with a track record of taking ownership and delivering outcomes in fast-paced settings.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; equivalent practical experience in startups or venture-backed companies is highly valued.
- Familiarity with India’s consumer markets, digital-native customers, and emerging technology trends; prior exposure to VC or accelerator programs is a plus.
