ideal candidate

will not simply manage incoming deal flow. They will be expected to continuously ask how LvlUp can source better companies, reach founders earlier, uncover new pockets of opportunity, create more effective sourcing channels, improve conversion through the funnel, and build systems that allow a global investment platform to operate with greater speed, consistency, and intelligence.A core responsibility will be developing and executing new sourcing strategies across both inbound and outbound channels.

This may include founder communities, targeted sector campaigns, portfolio referrals, scouts, accelerators, universities, ecosystem partners, founder networks, thematic sourcing initiatives, geographic expansion, events, data-driven outbound, and entirely new sourcing mechanisms developed internally.The objective is not simply to generate more deal flow.The objective is to create a significant increase in the quality, relevance, consistency, and scalability of LvlUp’s investment pipeline.The Head of Venture Sourcing & Investment Operations will be expected to identify where the strongest opportunities are coming from, develop new sourcing hypotheses, test new channels quickly, measure performance, and build repeatable systems around the strategies that work.A major part of this role will be helping lead, scale, and continuously improve LvlUp’s Venture Capitalist in Residence (VCR) Program.LvlUp’s VCR Program is a global network of scouts and deal flow partners who operate as an extension of the firm’s investment platform.

Across more than 4,000 members, the broader network submits approximately 15,000 deals annually, creating one of the largest venture scouting and deal flow ecosystems in the world.The Head of Venture Sourcing & Investment Operations will help turn that scale into an increasingly coordinated, engaged, high-performing, and closely connected sourcing organization.This includes developing creative ways to:* Increase the volume and quality of VCR-sourced opportunities* Improve engagement and participation across the network* Build stronger relationships between VCRs and the core investment team* Create greater alignment around LvlUp’s investment priorities* Develop clearer sourcing objectives and thematic priorities* Improve communication and feedback loops* Build stronger recognition and incentive systems* Identify and activate the highest-performing members* Create opportunities for members to contribute beyond individual deal submissions* Strengthen collaboration between VCRs across sectors, geographies, and networks* Build smaller communities and working groups within the broader program* Create educational, networking, and investment-focused programming* Develop new referral and recruitment systems for exceptional scouts and deal flow partners* Improve attribution, tracking, and measurement of VCR-driven deal flow* Build systems that make members feel like a true extension of the LvlUp teamThe objective is not simply to have the largest possible network.It is to create a highly aligned, high-engagement global community that operates as a genuine extension of LvlUp’s investment team and consistently surfaces differentiated opportunities.The person in this role should constantly be thinking about how to make the VCR Program more valuable, more connected, more productive, and more difficult to replicate.They will be encouraged to develop entirely new initiatives around the network—whether through sector-specific VCR groups, geographic communities, sourcing competitions, recognition systems, private programming, investment education, referral loops, deal collaboration, events, data and technology, or other creative mechanisms that strengthen participation and alignment.The Head of Venture Sourcing & Investment Operations will also own major elements of pipeline management and investment operations, helping ensure that opportunities move efficiently from initial sourcing through screening, diligence, investment review, and decision-making.Responsibilities may include:* Designing and managing sourcing funnels across multiple channels* Building new outbound and inbound sourcing strategies* Identifying high-potential sectors, founder communities, and geographies* Developing repeatable systems for finding companies earlier* Managing and improving startup

The role

should be able to move fluidly between high-level sourcing strategy and detailed execution.One day may involve designing a new sector-specific sourcing initiative or building a new VCR engagement strategy.
