CPG Venture Scout

The Opportunity

LvlUp Ventures is seeking a highly driven CPG Venture Scout to join our network. The role is built for a well-connected operator, brand builder, or community leader who can surface high-potential founders and startups in the Consumer Packaged Goods space and channel them directly to LvlUp Ventures.

As a CPG Venture Scout, you'll operate independently and externally, with a clear path to an offer for a role of a Deal Flow Partner, based on performance. You'll draw on your own network and community standing to source and refer founders and startups, with LvlUp Ventures' investment team handling diligence and execution from there.

Compensation is based on cash bonuses and carry on deals sourced that convert into LvlUp investments.

This is a fully remote role, open to scouts anywhere with strong tied to the CPG ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and refer high-potential founders and startups across CPG, Retail, E-commerce, Beauty, Food, Wellness, and Consumer Tech.
• Leverage your existing network and community standing to identify emerging founders and startups early, ahead of the broader market.
• Track trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging categories within your space(s) of focus.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and community gatherings to build relationships and surface deal flow.
• Submit warm introductions and structured deal referrals to the LvlUp Ventures investment team.
• Provide context on sourced founders and startups (market position, traction, team background) to support LvlUp's screening process.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective founders and startups within your network.
• Represent LvlUp Ventures as a trusted point of contact within your community.

The role is ideal for someone who:

• Is deeply embedded and well-connected within CPG, Retail, E-commerce, Beauty, Food, Wellness, or Consumer Tech.
• Doesn't need to be an investor. Ideal scouts include: retail buyers, operators, creators, brand executives, former founders, agency principals, product developers, college entrepreneurship leaders, and CPG community organizers.
• Has a strong eye for early-stage signals in founders and startups.
• Carries high integrity and a trusted reputation within their network.
• Operates independently with minimal oversight.
• Is genuinely interested in venture capital, startups, and the CPG ecosystem as an ongoing relationship, not a one-off referral.
