Principal — Investing Team
New Earth Ventures (NEV) is the corporate venture and innovation arm of Atlantic Packaging. NEV invests in AI, automation, robotics and materials startups at Seed and Series A. Backed by Atlantic Packaging, the largest family-owned packaging distribution and manufacturing company in North America.
Location: Charlotte, NC ideal or anywhere with an Atlantic facility; open to remote with preference for access to a major VC market. Reports to Managing Partner. For exceptional candidates, Partner title may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, financial modeling, and references
- Prepare and present investment memos to the team and investment committee
- Negotiate terms and startup collaboration details
- Source deal flow and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, accelerators, and investors
- Support portfolio companies on strategy, hiring, BD, and follow-on fundraising
- Contribute to fund strategy, thesis development, and LP relationships
Qualifications
- 5–10 years in venture capital, growth equity, IB, PE, or startup leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead diligence and close deals independently
- Packaging, supply chain, biomaterials, or AI domain knowledge a plus
