About Lead Ventures
Lead Ventures is a Budapest-based venture capital firm that finances technology companies in Central Europe and the Baltics. Founded in 2017, we raised a €100M fund in 2024 to back late seed and Series A startups in mobility, energy, fintech, B2B software, and other tech sectors. The Role
We are looking for an entry-level VC Analyst to join our investment team in Budapest. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate startup materials including business plans and pitch decks
- Identify promising founders and ventures across the region
- Conduct research on markets, sectors, and competitive dynamics within emerging tech areas
- Contribute to financial assessments, valuations, and investment modeling
- Participate in due diligence and deal execution phases
- Track portfolio company progress and provide strategic support
- Collaborate with the investment team on sourcing and closing opportunities
Required Qualifications
- MSc in Economics, Finance, Business, or related discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate finance
- Commercially curious mindset focused on markets and business models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive, self-directed, technology-oriented approach
- Interest in startups and innovation ecosystems
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Fluent in English and Hungarian
