Role Overview
We are looking for a high-ownership Events Manager who can independently plan, execute, and elevate Global Ventures’ events portfolio.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role. You will own the full event lifecycle, from concept to post- event feedback, while managing multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, and high standards. You must know what “good” looks like and be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to make it happen.
Global Ventures–Led Events
• Own end-to-end delivery of GV-hosted events (30–40 annually), including:
o Founder events, investor gatherings, ecosystem dinners, workshops, and flagship events.
• Manage all event logistics:
o Guest list management & RSVPs.
o Invitation design & event communications.
o Venue sourcing and negotiation.
o Catering, suppliers, AV, and on-site flow.
o Run-of-show and event execution.
• Ensure every event runs seamlessly and reflects Global Ventures’ brand and standards.
• Gather post-event feedback and insights; continuously improve future events Ecosystem & External Conferences.
Ecosystem & External Conferences
• Manage Global Ventures’ participation in external conferences and ecosystem events
• Liaise with conference organizers for:
o Speaking opportunities and panel placements
o Agenda alignment and deadlines
• Coordinate internally on:
o Panel topic selection
o Speaker preparation and positioning
o Attendee coordination
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
• Build and manage relationships with venues, caterers, designers, and vendors
• Negotiate contracts and pricing without compromising quality or relationships
• Work calmly and professionally with senior stakeholders, partners, and external guests
Requirements
• 3–6+ years of experience in events, operations, or project management (startups, VC, agencies, or fast-paced environments preferred).
• Proven experience running events end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Strong vendor and supplier management experience, including negotiation.
• Exceptional organizational and execution skills; detail-oriented by default.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills; professional, calm, and respectful in all interactions.
• Strategic mindset with a high bar for quality and experience.
• Adaptable, fast learner with a positive, “get it done” attitude.
