About DTCP
DTCP is an independent investment management firm with over 3 billion euros in assets under management and more than 70 professionals.
With Project Liberty, DTCP is actively investing in the emerging and leading European defence, security, and resilience technology companies across Series A to C financing stages. The fund plans to make investments in up to 25 companies, with an average investment size of approximately €20 million. Our objective is to support the growth of high-performing European defence, security, and resilience technology companies and to contribute to Europe’s long-term technological capability and security infrastructure.
DTCP has been investing successfully in IT- and security technologies for more than a decade. Its existing Growth Equity portfolio has a strong focus on cybersecurity and AI companies.
Your Role
As a Visiting Analyst, you will join the DTCP’s Project Liberty team and will have the following responsibilities along the investment process:
Investment Thesis Building: Contribute to our investment theses by diving into specific verticals and domains to build knowledge and expertise to develop bullet-proof investment strategies
Dealflow creation: Identify emerging European defence, security, and resilience tech companies across the different domains
Company Analysis & Pitching: Build a shortlist of the most promising investment opportunities, conduct first high-level evaluation and pitch potential opportunities to the team
Due Diligence: Participate in Due Diligence on live transactions (incl. financial modelling, market research, competition analysis, reference calls, valuation nationalisation etc.)
Portfolio Support: Support the investment team in their work with portfolio companies in financial, operational, and strategic matters. Monitor portfolio companies in terms of growth milestones.
Your Profile
Bachelor Degree/Master’s degree in finance, business, or engineering or related fields
Work experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital and/or tech startups.
A genuine passion for geopolitics, emerging technologies and innovation
Outstanding analytical skills, strategic thinking, and exceptional attention to details
Ability to work through numbers and deliver insights in well-organized presentations
Confident and positive, results driven, high energy with strong ability to learn
Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to go the extra mile
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Citizenship of a NATO member state, right to work in the EU
