Job Brief: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Venture Capital Analyst to join our team onsite. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing technology companies in terms of relevance for investment.
You will be researching and evaluating, among other, technology, market potential, product offering, commercialization model validity, management team, drivers of growth, financial health and shareholder value creation as well as assessing funding considerations and value crystallization alternatives. Furthermore, you will be involved in investment structuring as well as ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies, being in direct contact with respective C-suite executives. Also, you will be exposed to ongoing regulatory and investor reporting by the fund on its investment portfolio.
Role Objective: To provide actionable investment recommendations based on thorough analysis and identify new industries or technologies that could offer high-potential investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Research emerging industries or technologies that could present attractive investment opportunities.
Analyze historical financial statements and Business Plans of potential investment candidate companies.
Interview management teams to understand their goals, vision, and motivations, and evaluate the team’s ability to execute on that vision.
Conduct Business and Financial Due Diligence on potential investments.
Assist in coordination of Legal Due Diligence by legal experts on potential investments.
Contribute to investment structuring and negotiation of investment terms
Compile marketing materials of the fund.
Prepare detailed reports for regulatory and investor reporting by the fund.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Over 5 years of relevant experience involving problem-solving and self-initiative
Strong knowledge of and interest in the Venture Capital industry and its trends
Exceptional Finance and Accounting skills, including analysis of financial statements (Investment Banking background is a plus)
Experience in financial modeling and company valuation
Proven track record of academic and professional success
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
