German Media Pool

About

Founded in March 2011, German Media Pool is Germany's leading independent media for equity fund combining television, out of home, print and radio. We have invested more than 300 million Euro in gross media volume into nearly 40 startups, three of which have achieved “Unicorn” status. We have had numerous successful exits, 3 of them in IPOs, with more to come.

INVESTMENT MODEL & CRITERIA

  • Focus: We primarily invest in consumer-facing companies at a series A or later stage. Strong co-investors and a good fit to our media's target groups are a must.
  • Volume: 5 to 10 million Euro gross media per deal is our sweet spot, in exceptional cases significantly more is feasible. In a successful partnership, we are happy to carry out multiple rounds.
  • Terms: We are your single point of contact for all media types. All shares are held by German Media Pool. We invest at the same financing terms as the lead investor when participating in a round. Between rounds we can invest via a convertible loan. The basis for equity remuneration is the net value of the media granted.
