Role Description

The Head of Platform is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, responsible for designing and leading the firm’s platform strategy to support portfolio company growth and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing scalable programs for portfolio value creation, such as go-to-market support, talent networks, operational best-practice sharing, and access to strategic partners. The role oversees the creation of playbooks, frameworks, and resources that help portfolio companies accelerate revenue, optimize operations, and strengthen their cybersecurity and AI capabilities. This individual will build and maintain strong relationships with founders and leadership teams, coordinate events and communities across the portfolio, and collaborate closely with investment professionals to identify and address portfolio needs. The Head of Platform will also track and report value-creation initiatives, refine platform offerings based on feedback and outcomes, and represent Evolution’s platform externally with key stakeholders and ecosystem partners.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform, value creation, or portfolio support functions within private equity, venture capital, or high-growth technology environments.
• Background in building and scaling structured programs for go-to-market, operations, or customer success that drive measurable impact for technology companies.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively with founders, C-level executives, and cross-functional internal teams.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to prioritize initiatives, measure outcomes, and continuously improve platform offerings.
• Demonstrated familiarity with cybersecurity and/or AI software markets, trends, and business models, or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize insights and share best practices across diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment, taking ownership of initiatives from concept to execution.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field is beneficial.
