Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) is hiring an Associate to join our team in Los Angeles. Founded as Touchdown Ventures in 2014, CPV pioneered Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) for corporations, working with industry leaders like Avery Dennison, Kellogg, Olympus, T-Mobile, and more. With a team of 40+ investment professionals in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, CPV manages more than 15 corporate venture capital funds.
Cerity Partners Ventures works closely with corporate clients to develop and execute innovation strategies. Associates source and qualify opportunities for some of the world’s most successful corporations to partner with and invest in startups. You will work on a collaborative team investing in startups relevant for food & agriculture, CPG, and industrial manufacturing leaders.
Our team delivers high quality client service, strategic insights, commercial impact, and venture capital investment advisory. The Associate role is an opportunity to join a growing firm, with substantial mentorship and training from experienced venture capitalists.
This position will be based in our Los Angeles Century City office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify startups for investments and commercial partnerships
- Meet with entrepreneurs and evaluate their business plans and pitches
- Develop relationships with founders
- Track and report on other deal flow generated by our team
- Research industry sectors, trends, and market dynamics
- Assist with due diligence and in closing transactions
Required Qualifications
Candidates should bring a growth mindset for a professional services environment. Successful colleagues are detail-oriented self-starters with natural curiosity about business innovation. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with 1-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, financial services, or startup operating roles.
Compensation Range
$100,000 + Performance Bonus & Benefits
