Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Analyst / Junior Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology, emerging markets, startups and investing. This role requires fluency in both: English, and Spanish, and a self-starter attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing: Proactively source high-potential early-stage technology startups across Spanish-speaking Latin America and Latino founders in the US by actively engaging with founders, accelerators, industry events, and the regional VC ecosystem.
Diligence: Support comprehensive due diligence processes by evaluating business models, financial performance, market dynamics, competitive positioning, founder capabilities, and exit potential, synthesizing findings into detailed investment memorandums for internal approval.
Research: Conduct rigorous market and sector research to uncover emerging trends, assess competitive landscapes, and develop actionable insights that inform the fund’s investment thesis and strategic allocations.
Portfolio Support: Support portfolio companies to drive strategic and operational initiatives—including financial modeling, market research, commercial strategy, fundraising preparation, and stakeholder introductions—to accelerate growth and maximize value creation.
Investor Reporting: Manage investor reporting by compiling and analyzing financial and operational data from portfolio companies to produce accurate, insightful quarterly and annual updates for limited partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
Fluency in Spanish and English
Demonstrated interest in technology and emerging markets.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with familiarity in reading public company filings such as 10-Ks and 10-Qs.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize diverse datasets with varying degrees of structuring and availability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project and process management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
Self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with the startup ecosystem in Latin America is a plus.
