YZi Labs is seeking a talented and driven Associate with a background in banking or private equity to join our investment team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your financial analysis, deal execution, and due diligence skills to support venture investments in cutting-edge technology sectors. You will work closely with senior investment professionals to source, evaluate, and manage high-potential startups, contributing to YZi Labs’ mission of fostering innovation and growth.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed financial and market due diligence on prospective investment opportunities.
Support deal sourcing efforts by identifying promising startups and emerging technologies aligned with YZi Labs’ investment focus.
Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memos to support decision-making.
Assist in portfolio monitoring by tracking company performance, preparing reports, and identifying value creation opportunities.
Collaborate with founders and portfolio companies to understand business models, growth strategies, and operational challenges.
Participate in investment committee meetings and contribute insights based on rigorous analysis.
Support fundraising, investor relations, and reporting activities as needed.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies relevant to YZi Labs’ investment thesis.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial services role.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for technology, innovation, and venture capital.
Experience or interest in sectors such as Web3, AI, biotech, or fintech is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
