Cambiar Education

Cambiar Education is a K-12 nonprofit venture studio founded in 2016 and headquartered in San Diego, California. It operates at the intersection of education, innovation and entrepreneurship, providing venture funding, strategic guidance and direct-run programs to support education ventures from ideation through scale. Its stated focus is equity - improving outcomes for students who need it most - with a defined target of positive, life-changing impact for over 1 million students by 2030.

The organisation reports $275 million in total funding raised and more than 140 ventures powered, which have collectively served 37 million students. Its areas of work span education innovation, entrepreneurship and venture development, career-connected learning and leadership development, across the K-12 education, education technology and nonprofit/venture philanthropy verticals.

Central to the studio's method is the CREATE process, a framework for turning ideas into measurable impact developed with insights from more than 300 entrepreneurs worldwide. Alongside it sit several named initiatives: Cambiar Catalyst, which builds education leaders; Cambiar Velocity, which connects system leaders with innovators; Cambiar Quest, which provides career-connected learning experiences for students; and Run the Future, an entrepreneurial programme for students.
