The role
Join the Capital Network team across the Consumer, AI Apps & Speedrun verticals, supporting portfolio companies on capital raising and M&A advisory.
Responsibilities
- Support portfolio company capital raising and M&A advisory; perform valuation analyses
- Assist in financing and strategic processes; develop presentation materials for internal and external audiences
- Conduct primary research on industry developments; perform company and industry research with portfolio and benchmarking analyses
- Map relationships within the capital ecosystem (VCs, growth equity, debt providers, strategics)
Minimum qualifications
- 2-4 years of corporate finance experience in technology (corporate development, tech M&A investment banking, management consulting, or capital-raising/M&A finance roles)
- Understanding of the venture ecosystem; ability to build trust with team members and entrepreneurs
- Low ego with high empathy; ability to manage multiple priorities with initiative and creativity
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; bachelor's in finance, business, economics, or a technical field preferred but not required
Compensation
Anticipated range $184,000-$214,000, plus eligibility for a16z's carry program, discretionary bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. Five days/week in-office in San Francisco.
