Role Overview
The Director of Investor Relations will own and elevate the firm’s Limited Partner (“LP”) experience across the full lifecycle from fundraising and onboarding through reporting, communications, and long-term relationship management. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring someone who can build systems, manage narratives, and serve as a trusted interface between partners, LPs, and internal teams.
This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leadership, existing LPs, and prospective investors. This role directly supports the firm’s growth and reputation in the market. Travel required.
Core Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for LPs, maintaining trusted, proactive relationships
Manage ongoing communications, inquiries, and ad hoc requests from existing and prospecting LPs
Coordinate LP meetings, annual meetings (AGMs)
Support fundraising strategy and execution across new funds and SPVs
Manage investor pipeline tracking, diligence workflows, and follow-ups
Prepare and coordinate materials for roadshows, LP meetings, and closing processes
Partner closely with legal, finance, and partners during fund launches and closes
Oversee quarterly and annual reporting, including investor letters, portfolio updates and performance summaries and dashboards
Translate complex portfolio, financial, and strategic information into clear LP narratives
Own and optimize IR infrastructure (CRM, data rooms, reporting tools)
Help shape the firm’s external voice and positioning with investors
Ideal Candidate Profile
3+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, finance, venture capital, private equity, or related fields
Separately, can have 5+ years of experience in project management with ability to learn quickly and track multiple projects and workflows from start to finish
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-touch environment
Beneficial Skills and Experience
Direct experience working with institutional LPs (endowments, foundations, family offices, funds-of-funds) a plus, but not required
Strong understanding of venture fund structures, metrics, reporting norms, and tools
Experience working closely with senior partners or founders
