About the role 

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a high performance team experiencing rapid growth with a strong pipeline of investment opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and investing in the healthcare sector in a fast-paced environment.  

What do you do?  

  • Develop a deep understanding of our investment focus, our platform, the venture industry, and our mission; 
  • Identify and screen investment opportunities, conduct due diligence on potential investments and deliver science due diligence reports (including feasibility of product/technology, market, competitive landscape, management teams and financials) 
  • Develop and present investment recommendations with the Sixty Degree Capital healthcare team for approval by the Investment Committee. 
  • Conduct technology validation, competitor benchmarking and market research; 
  • Research in the healthcare space to identify new trends in health innovation; 
  • Frequent meeting with scientific team members and present research results; 
  • Review legal documents relating to deal closing. 

  What do you need to succeed?  

  • A PhD/MD degree focused in the sciences particularly Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Public Health, etc. 
  • 1-3 years of work experience in the healthcare/biotech/pharmaceutical sector; 
  • Proven track record of personal, academic, and professional achievements; 
  • A high degree of comfort with critical thinking, science research, comparative analytics, and the capability to draw decisions based on both intuition and data; 
  • Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment or individually in a structured, and goal-oriented manner; 
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects; 
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet demanding deadlines.
