Position Specific Description

This role will support senior team members in researching, identifying and evaluating potential venture capital investments as part of the NextEra Energy Investments team. Ideal candidates will have solid academic track records and experience in fast paced finance / investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or corporate strategy groups with top tier institutions. Candidates will need to demonstrate strength in analytical and quantitative analysis as well have strong communication skills, written as well as verbal, and ability to work within a fast paced, highly collaborative team. The ideal candidate is independent, self-motivated, a fast learner, takes ownership of their projects, and has an MBA or graduate degree from a top ranked university. Experience in and passion for technology, sustainable energy and science is highly preferred.

Job Overview

This role will be responsible for researching, screening, and evaluating potential venture capital investments. This position will source new opportunities and lead execution of transactions. Employees in this position conduct rigorous, independent research to evaluate potential investments.
