Otium Capital is an evergreen investment company managing the assets of Pierre-Edouard Stérin, the founder of Smartbox. Our entrepeneurial DNA allows us to invest fast and to meet entrepreneurs' needs. We invest from €100k to €30m for majority or minority stakes and nothing excites us more than working closely with founders to build successful companies.

Since Pierre-Edouard's first investment in La Fourchette, Otium has invested €400m in 100 companies. We have kept an entrepreneurial DNA throughout the years, and we are proud to work with founders to build the companies that will become the best players in their sector.

We are an evergreen investor as we believe that the investor's time should match the entrepreneur's objectives. We are very flexible and we invest at all stages of development, from Seed and Series A to Growth and LBO. The amounts invested range from €100k to €30m in various fields, from Venture Tech and Consumer to Industry and Real Estate. 

Supporting the action of the Fonds du Bien Commun

Otium Capital is not an impact fund but we donate every year a growing part of our proceeds (€22m in 2022) to support the Fonds du Bien Commun.
