Investment Manager – Web3 & Tokenomics
Location: Remote/Global
YZi Labs is looking for a forward-thinking Investment Manager to identify, evaluate, and manage early-stage Web3 and DeFi investment opportunities. You will focus on high-potential Web3 startups, DeFi protocols, dApps, NFTs, and tokenized projects, helping them grow through strategic investments.

What You'll Do
- Lead research on emerging Web3 trends, including Layer 1/2 protocols, DeFi, AI x Crypto, prediction markets, wallets, and tokenized assets
- Source Web3 projects and DeFi protocols, conducting thorough due diligence including tokenomics, governance, and ecosystem sustainability
- Build investment cases, structure deals and support Investment Committee decisions
- Provide portfolio guidance, helping projects optimize tokenomics, governance, community incentives, and protocol growth
- Track market and regulatory developments, report insights to stakeholders, and share Web3 expertise across the team
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in venture capital, private equity, or early-stage Web3/DeFi investment
- Proven experience sourcing and executing early-stage Web3 deals
- Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, tokenomics, DAOs, liquidity pools, and staking mechanisms
- Financial modeling, valuation, and market research expertise
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex Web3 concepts
Preferred
- Experience in token launches, incentive design, and active participation in Web3 communities
- Familiarity with Dune, Nansen, Token Terminal, or other on-chain analytics tools
