## Role description
We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations, fund management, and institutional processes at YXS Capital. This is a senior leadership role for someone who brings deep experience in fund finance, accounting, and financial oversight within venture capital, private equity, or asset management environments. You will operate at the core of the firm's financial function, working closely with Managing Partners, service providers, and investors across all financial activities. This includes fund reporting, capital management, compliance, and the development of financial infrastructure to support a scalable investment platform. This role is designed for candidates who value precision, control, and institutional standards, and who want to play a central role in building and maintaining a high-performance investment platform.
## Responsibilities
- **Fund Financial Management:** Oversee all financial aspects of the fund, including accounting, cash management, capital calls, and distributions. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency across all financial processes.
- **LP Reporting & Investor Support:** Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual reporting for limited partners. Ensure all reporting meets institutional standards and supports clear communication with investors.
- **Compliance, Audit & Governance:** Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and legal partners. Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong internal controls and governance processes.
- **Financial Operations & Infrastructure:** Build and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls that support a scalable and institutional-grade platform. Ensure proper tracking, documentation, and execution across workflows.
- **Strategic Financial Support:** Support Managing Partners on fund strategy, financial planning, and capital allocation. Provide structured insights to inform decision-making.
- **Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional Support:** Contribute across the firm on operational, strategic, and internal initiatives aligned with ongoing priorities.
## What we're looking for
- **Fund Finance Experience:** 10+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or asset management finance roles. Strong understanding of fund structures, reporting, and LP requirements.
- **Technical Financial Expertise:** Deep knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, tax structures, and regulatory processes. Ability to manage complex financial operations with precision.
- **Attention to Detail:** High level of accuracy and control across all work. Comfortable managing multiple financial processes while maintaining consistency.
- **Ownership Mindset:** Ability to operate independently with full responsibility for financial accuracy and execution.
- **Communication Skills:** Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners. Capable of presenting financial information in a structured and accessible way.
- **Institutional Discipline:** Strong preference for structured environments, processes, and high standards of financial control.
