Associate — Montreal

Join White Star Capital’s Montreal investment team to find ambitious technology founders, build investment conviction, and help companies scale internationally. You will own sourcing, research, and diligence workstreams, contribute to investment decisions, and work closely with senior investors across our global team.

What you will do

• Originate opportunities and build a Canadian sourcing pipeline
• Shape investment views through deep dives and theses
• Own diligence workstreams (markets, competition, products, teams, financials)
• Support investment execution and IC materials
• Help founders scale commercially and internationally
• Lead fund operations initiatives and build the firm’s network

What you bring

• At least two years in VC, growth equity, IB, consulting, or an analytical/commercial tech role
• Curiosity about technology and startups; strong financial analysis and modeling
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to earn founder trust
• Ability to work in Montreal with necessary work authorization

Additional strengths

• Canadian ecosystem relationships; French and English
• AI tools proficiency; community-building experience
