Vive Venture Capital — Remote, with meetings in Palo Alto, California
Vive Venture Capital is looking for a Bay Area–based Venture Associate / Portfolio Manager to work directly with the firm’s partners on portfolio management, new investments and fund operations.
We invest in and acquire venture-backed companies and assets that have reached a lifecycle transition point. Our work combines venture investing, corporate finance, strategic transactions and real involvement in the companies themselves.
This is a job for a self-starter. You’ll support financial and accounting analysis, portfolio-company oversight, transaction execution and fund administration, often on several fronts at once.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting statements, financial models, valuation analyses and investment memoranda.
- Fund-level accounting and administration: supporting capital calls, distributions, capital account maintenance, audit and tax preparation.
- Monitor portfolio-company performance against operating plans and budgets.
- Assist with financings, M&A, restructurings and other strategic transactions.
- Contribute to portfolio reviews, fund reports and investor communications.
- Track deliverables and deadlines across Vive and its portfolio companies.
- Implement AI and automation tools to work on research, analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience in venture capital, private equity or investment banking accounting with accounting fluency is a real advantage here.
- Proficiency with financial statements and the ability to interpret, build and defend financial models.
- Strong commercial instincts and clear writing.
- Genuine interest in AI business and business productivity tools, and some hands-on experience using them.
- Entrepreneurial drive and curiosity.

Location
Principally remote, with regular in-person meetings in Palo Alto, California and some domestic travel. Candidates need to live in the San Francisco Bay Area and be available for working sessions with portfolio companies and fund partners.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, performance bonus and the opportunity to participate in selected funds and portfolio-company investments.
