Tidal Ventures is an early-stage VC firm investing in Seed and Pre-Seed technology companies across Australia and globally. We focus on B2B software, Vertical AI and founders building category-defining products.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Investor Relations & Fund Operations Associate to join Tidal Ventures based in Sydney, supporting the Managing Partners in fundraising activities. The role will cover the full spectrum of Venture Capital investors including Family Office, Wealth Advisors and Institutional Asset Managers and be the interface to the Fund Operations function. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with LPs and will have the potential to assume greater responsibility over time.
What you'll do
The key responsibilities of this position are:
Support the efforts of Fundraising, CFO, and Managing Partner to develop an ongoing activity schedule with existing and prospective LPs
Have solid financial acumen for translating requests into fund administration activities including LP reporting, call notices, investor statement inquiries and portfolio performance.
Provide follow up and regular communications to prospects and committed investors
Build effective relationships with LPs and wealth advisers via phone based and e-mail communication with the aim of providing ongoing engagement
Take a prominent role in investor relations activity and engagement, including investor communications and events planning
Conduct research projects to identify key prospects
Manage technology projects to develop the CRM and other technology platforms
Develop a network of personal contacts in the industry to contribute the sales pipeline
Manage inbound queries in a professional and timely manner through to completion
Manage client engagement schedules independently
What we're looking for
You have 2–4 years’ experience in one of the following:
Venture capital, private equity, consulting or investment banking
BizOps, FP&A or general Finance and Operations in a tech company
Founder or angel investor experience is a bonus
You’re someone with

Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
Fast learning ability and structured thinking
Great written and verbal communication
High attention to detail
An ownership mindset and comfort working autonomously
A collaborative, low-ego approach
Must be able to work from our Sydney office (hybrid). Australian work rights required.
