About SPC:

South Park Commons is a community and early-stage fund for exceptional builders. We work with engineers, researchers, and founders as they explore what to build next, and help them go from -1 to 0.

About the role:

SPC India is looking for a finance and legal operator to run the back office of SPC India. You’ll report to the VP of Finance in US and work closely with the India investment team. You’ll own the India books from close to audit, support deals from term sheet to closing, and keep our outside partners to a high standard.

What you'll own:

• Own India accounting end to end: quarterly close, India GAAP financials, and statutory audit
• Own tax and compliance: GST, TDS, advance tax, and transfer pricing
• Support India investments through closing: track the pipeline, run closing checklists, and coordinate with outside counsel
• Oversee our third-party accounting administrator and manage auditor, tax, and legal vendors
• Serve as the India point of contact for the US finance team

You might be a great fit if you:

• CA qualified, with an MBA as a strong plus
• 3–5 years of finance experience at a venture or alternative investment fund
• Have owned a close and a statutory audit end to end
• Have supported buy- or sell-side transactions through closing, including term sheets, cap tables, and closing checklists
• Comfortable working with a US-based team across time zones and explaining Indian rules to non-Indian stakeholders
• Bring strong judgement, high energy, and enjoy working with people
• Curious about technology, startups, and the people building them
• Use AI and automation to work faster and more reliably
